MOSIX is a cluster and multi-cluster operating system targeted for High Performance Computing (HPC) on x86 Linux platforms. It incorporates automatic resource discovery and dynamic workload distribution. However, the experience report on Java suggests that it will be hard to get Java simulations parallized (with automatic job migration). It’s a pity…

Still, MOSIX, sounds like an interesting system. Since it runs also on virtual machines, so a MOSIX cluster could run in parallel to local servers.
